What’s the weather? Today I’ve explored a utility to display weather information and forecast on the text console or terminal. Surely, you can have those things on your mobile device or integrated in your fancy desktop environment. If you’re like me, into minimal stuff, eliminating clutter and distractions, consider ansiweather. Installation on Debian+ It is in the repos so any Debian based distro should have it. Watch my lingo :)

The Bright Open s.r.o. company has been registered in CZ and got an official website brightopen.eu.

OAuth2 is a standard for authentication/authorization. It is implemented by big cloud providers - Azure, Google, Amazon - and beside many others also by GitLab or GitHub.

What is is it good for? You can integrate your application with a service provider, or many of them, with one pattern. The common troubles are solved so you just focus on making business (most of the time). Mostly, a library is available so you don’t even need to implement the protocol.

The log4net.Ext.Json I wrote about a while back is now safely settled in a new home. The call for maintainers has been closed and Grzegorz Dziadkiewicz has successfully taken over. This is great! I bless it so it will serve well and bring more satisfaction. Many thanks to Grzegorz!

I have moved all the ‘Bright Open’ projects to GitLab and removed old residuals from GitHub.

This package log4net.Ext.Json has brought home a lot of satisfaction. But since I’m not developing nor managing any dotnet software anymore, I do not have the incentive to continue maintaining and supporting it. The last and most popular version is 2.0.8.3.
